Hardware Clock Not Working

I got a message on webmin

hwclock failed debian

and when i try to see over ssh i got :

select() to /dev/rtc0 to wait for clock tick timed out

Any ideas ?

This is a Linux kernel issue - introduced in 2.6.38.


As background the Warp uses Linux version 2.8.39 and a RTC in the m41t80 family (cat /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/name).

If the hwclock functionality is needed a kernel patch would be necessary.
