    Default Passive Recording - Logging - T1/E1

    Passive Recording - Digital T1/E1

Description: Passive Recording (logging) a T1/E1 span means to record the Audio and Signaling channels without the network being able to tell that a device is connected. The logger card does not respond or inject signaling information in to the circuit being monitored. ( In passive recording mode, this card does not “terminate” a call )

    Common Purposes:
    - Call Center: Recording calls for quality or authorization purposes
    - Financial/Banks: Recording changes, stock trades, etc

    PIKA Solutions:

Both the PIKA PrimeNet MM DL board and PIKA Digital PCIe HMP board can be used to passively record a T1/E1 line.

    g) Download and compile the sample T1/E1 Logging application "DigitalLogging" ( ISDN )
    http://www.pikatechnologies.com/engl...p?mp=804&x=801
The sample application is not a finished product, but can show you how to use the PIKA API to build a final product.
    h) Cabling: Please do not connect the Transmit Pins (TX - 4 & 5 ) on the PIKA board. Only the Receive pins ( 1 & 2 ) should be connected
    i) The sample application uses ISDN as the call signalling method
