Default A warning about boot diagnostics

Just a quick warning about the diagnostic tools you can use at boot time if you have a serial connection to the Warp when you turn it on. Long story short, it wrote to our SD card and no Linux install I had would recognize the partition table anymore. Thankfully I had everything backed up in other places.

    Hi rtm,

Thanks for pointing this out for everyone! I am told this is a bug in the boot dianostic tool where it did a read-write test on the first block of raw bits on the SD card which corrupted the card's partition table. A combination of fdisk /dev/mmcblk0 and format /dev/mmcblk0p1 can probably get the sd working again however the data is lost so it is good to hear that this was backed up.

I am told this issue has been resolved and the fix will be included in the 2.1 PADS release out in February 2010. (u-boot version 1.3.0-87 or greater)
