1) You can create extensions (either SIP or FXS) through the ‘Extensions’ selection to the left.


Below is an example of how to create an extension for the on-board FXS port. Note the addition of the ‘Display Name’ and ‘channel’ at the bottom of this screen. Submit changes. (Note: after you create a FXS extension you must restart Asterisk.)


2) Setup the ‘Trunks’ page in FreePBX as shown below using the ‘Add DADHI Trunk’ selection. The only mandatory field is the ‘Trunk Name’. Submit changes.


(Note: You can remove the existing ‘Zap’ trunk configuration.)

3) If you wish to have a ring group (optional) then you must first add the Ring Group module.
Select 'Module Admin' and with the 'Basic' repository enabled, click 'Check Online'. Scroll down to the 'Inbound Call Control' section and select 'Ring Groups' > 'Download and install'. then click the 'Process' button to the top right.
Under the setup tab you should now have a 'Ring Groups' section in the left column under the ‘Setup’ tab. To configure add a ‘Group Description’, add extensions to the ‘Extension List’ (one per line) and a ‘Destination if no answer’.


4) If you wish to have an auto attendant (optional) then select the ‘Add IVR’ option from the top right hand corner of the IVR screen. Below is an example which greets the user with a welcome message before allowing direct dial to extension (‘Enable Direct Dial’) or selecting ‘5’ for a store hours message (bottom of the screen).


(Notes: to have audio recordings available for selection as ‘Announcements’ you must first create and save them through the ‘System Recordings’ screen - at the bottom of the Setup tab. ‘Welcome’ is a Built-in recording.
The ‘store-hours’ is a selectable playable message in the IVR. It is created using the ‘Announcements’ package through the ‘Extended’ module repository. This is very similar to adding the Ring Group module as outlined in step 3.)

5) Finally use the ‘Incoming Route’ screen to then direct traffic. You can route external calls to your desired destination through the ‘Inbound Routes’ configuration screen – either to an extension directly, to a ring group or to the IVR. Give a ‘Description’ and then set your desired destination through the ‘Set Destination’ section.


Make sure to perform ‘Apply Configuration Changes’ at the end for the changes to take effect.

6) For Outbound Routes:

Select a Route Name, Dial pattern and then select a trunk to use for dialing at the bottom of the screen.
