Hello,

We have a Pika Warp with FreePBX 2.7.0.10, and we have problem with cron (scheduled jobs don't run) and we have error in the logs:

This is a part of log :

/persistent1/var/log # vi messages
....
May 16 16:10:01 pika_enarc_2 cron.err crond[1888]: USER root pid 5515 cmd /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx-cron-scheduler.php
May 16 17:10:01 pika_enarc_2 cron.err crond[1888]: USER root pid 5518 cmd /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx-cron-scheduler.php
May 16 18:10:01 pika_enarc_2 cron.err crond[1888]: USER root pid 5694 cmd /var/lib/asterisk/bin/freepbx-cron-scheduler.php
....

Can any one help us to solve this cron error !

Regards

Try adding the highlighted line below to the file '/persistent/autorun/S65freepbx' and then reboot:

...
chmod +s /usr/bin/crontab
touch /persistent/var/spool/cron/crontabs/asterisk

# Set permissions for asterisk user on asterisk folders
chown -R asterisk:asterisk /dev/pika*
...
chown -R asterisk:asterisk /persistent/etc/asterisk/
chown -R asterisk:asterisk /persistent1/var/www/html/
chown -R asterisk:asterisk /persistent/var/spool/cron/crontabs/
...

Hello,

I've added this line highlighted but nothing changed (the same problem)

I've found another error in var/log/messages (just after the pika boots up) :

... cron.err crond[1888]:crond (busybox 1.10.3) started, log level 8

Hi,

Are your cron jobs not running or are you only seeing these messages in the logs?

What is an interesting note is that all cron messages are logged to cron.err due to the behavior of crond in busybox 1.10. Here is a related report from the OpenWRT project on the topic. https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/3981

Hi,

Good, now the error message disappers from my logs but when i schedule a backup from freepbx web interface nothing changed in "crontab/root" ... the new task i've planned is not included .. i have to choose "now" to perform the backup !

Best Regards !

Hi,

I apologize I forgot to included two additional lines that were in my file. I have updated the post in this thread with the adds. Let me know if this still doesn't work.
