Does the appliance include a JTAG connector I can use to unbrick the mainboard if I take a wrong turn during custom development?
Are the necessary bootstrap loader .bin files included in the appliance distribution?
Which JTAG debugger do you recommend for use with the appliance?

Release 1 of the appliance does not have JTAG connections.
There is a serial port for use on the appliance and will we described in the documentation at General Release.
Part of the PADS kit, will contain all of the necessary instructions for building and loading the OS and software packages on to the appliance.

For what it's worth, I "bricked" a Pika last week (the persistent image was corrupted). It's relatively easy to "un-brick" it via the serial port. The PADS manual has instructions for using uBoot (via serial cable) to flash via NFS or tftp.
