I have a fax application that I'd like to port to HMP technology, to reduce the cost of the application. I understand that this uses more of the processing power of the PC rather than using expensive fax resources on the board. Does PIKA have a solution for this?

Hi Kevin,
PIKA provides both DSP and HMP based T.30 (G3) FAX solutions for TDM boards (Analog and Digital T1/E1)
In the release notes of the APIs there is benchmark testing data that we have compiled indicating the types of PC's we tested with and the number of ports per PC achieved at a given CPU load level.
The high level API (Grand Prix) abstracts call control (Analog/Digital), call progress, and the technology (DSP/HMP) that would allow you to write one application that can make use of either technology.
Whether you are looking for a few ports or hundreds of ports of simultaneous FAX in a PC, PIKA has the options for you.
